NABC expands to NYC

The National Association of Business Councils (NABC), the first nationwide gay group of its kind. has opened an office in New York City.

The purpose of the group is "to support, assist, inform and edu⚫cate gay and gay-oriented business associations...to gain increased respectability for the associations, and to recognize their high standards by engendering the practice of strong motives toward excellence of service and products." according to interim President H. Gerald Schiff

NABC's next general meeting will be held in Houston May 17. It will be attended by representatives from already existing gay business groups from Albany. New York, Atlanta: Boston: Chicago: Dallas. Dayton, Ohio. Denver. Detroit: Houston: Kev West, Florida Los Angeles. Miami/Fort Lauderdale. Nashville.

New Orleans: New York City: Orange County, California: Philadelphia: Provincetown, Massachusetts: Sacramento: San Jose: Washington, DC. and Wilming ton, Delaware. Chapters are currently in formation in other cities as well.

During a recent trip to. Washington. On April 13th. The Western Reserve Gay Business Assoc. will sponsor a roller skating party for the gay community. The event will be held at the Akron Rollercade Skating Center, 1615 East Market Street in Akron. Ohio. The skating will begin promptly at 5p.m. until 7 p.m with a charge of $2.50 per person plus skate rental. Funds raised from the party will be used for various non-profit gay organizations within the Akron and Canton gay communities..
